About Us

Nestled in the Sanying Reclaimed Land of Yingge District, the New Taipei City Art Museum is a key cultural initiative by the New Taipei City Government to promote local development and urban renewal. As New Taipei City’s first contemporary art museum, it integrates urban art and culture, natural ecology, and local industries, allowing diverse cultural venues and art communities to connect, advancing aesthetic education for all ages, while embodying the vision of a museum for all.

Modern and contemporary art, along with visual culture from the 20th century onward, form the museum’s core focus. With the perspective of local roots, global reach, it strengthens local research, supports artistic practice and exhibitions, and promotes inclusive and multifaceted art education. The museum strives to become a forward-thinking institution that intently engages, responds, encourages participation and collaboration, and advocates for sustainability. At the same time, it fosters dialogue and exchange that bridges New Taipei City with global regions, introducing international artistic insights and trends, offering a global platform for local artists, and facilitating the practice and exchange of art.
